GENERAL PRACTICE INFORMATION

Stanley F. Rose is an attorney whose law practice is directed primarily to the aspects of U.S. Income, Estate and Gift Tax which relate to foreign investment in the U.S., and foreign trade and transactions.  In addition, Mr. Rose advises American and foreign businesses and businessmen in regard to international businesses and investment.

Mr. Rose is board certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in international law, and is qualified as a Florida Civil Law Notary.  He is a member of the International Tax Committee of the Florida Bar.  He offers talks and seminars in regard to U.S. taxation of resident and non-resident aliens and foreign investment in U.S. Real Estate.  The real estate seminar is approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) and is available also for CPAs who may need continuing education credit.

Mr. Rose speaks German, Spanish, Portuguese and French, and has published articles in English, German and Spanish in the U.S., Germany and Venezuela.  He is admitted to practice law in Florida and the Republic of Peru.  His legal activities have dealt with over 40 countries including the purchase of businesses and the sale of products and businesses in Europe and South America, tri-party license arrangements in the Russian Federation, various agency, distributor and license agreements, and direct investment.

Mr. Rose was formerly a tax advisor for Price Waterhouse in Lima, Peru; a member of the law firm of Travierso Evans in Caracas, Venezuela; a political, legal and tax advisor for the management of Occidental Petroleum in Peru; and an international attorney for Warner Lambert Company (Morristown, New Jersey) for Central and South America, Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Mr. Rose has a B.A and a M.A in American and European history from the University of Virginia, a Doctor of Law from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and a law degree from San Marcos University in Lima, Peru.  He has a Masters in Management (M.M.) from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
